Joseph C. Russek III was born in Ridgewood, N.J. in 1978 and raised in Bloomingburg, N.Y. In 1996, he graduated from both the Pine Bush school district and the Orange-Ulster Vo-Tech, where he received an honors degree in Culinary Arts. Joe then attended the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y. where he graduated with honors in 1998. Traveling from cook to executive chef, he opened some of the world’s most famous hotels, including The Mansions at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, The Shore Club Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida, and The Peninsula Hotel in Manhattan, NY. He also opened and operated many private restaurants, including Mi Casa in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, Cafeteria and Brasserie 360, both in Manhattan NY. During his famed culinary career, he founded THIRD Clothing — a designer, urban-branded clothing company where he designed and also distributed through FUEL Soho, N.Y. He later sold the clothing company to raise capital for his next endeavor.
In 2001, Joseph partnered with his younger brother Keith Russek (who was in the construction field) and ventured into real estate with his first home in Middletown N.Y. This was quickly followed by land and a condominium in Jersey City, N.J. The two of them spent long hours restoring their first project, “Commonwealth,” back to its original luster with modern conveniences. Let’s just say they learned a lot the hard way, by making rookie mistakes and learning to fix them. This led to more purchases of foreclosed properties and two companies — Third Generation Homes and K. Russek Construction (which Keith still owns independently).
Today, there are more than 40 remodeled and “flipped” homes and 10 new construction homes and counting. During this adventure, Joe obtained his New York State real estate license and works with Better Homes & Gardens-Rand Realty. Along with forming a financial business partnership with another private investor Third & Roly Properties an Investment Company. He also found the need to form a property management company to manage rental property for investors like him. As the economy and real estate/construction market changed, Joe found himself staying ahead of the rest. Through forward thinking, he obtained his EcoBroker designation and became a certified Energy Star builder, which he has put to use in many projects. Also, with the understanding that more people need to stay in their homes instead of selling, he created a handyman division — great for those small projects that just need to get done. All in all, Joseph Russek has made a career out of being focused and his attention to details drives him to deliver the best product and service.
Third Generation Homes strives to seek continual education to expand the company every year. “Our goal is to become an all inclusive real estate/construction company with white glove service, allowing us to help a customer from beginning to end. For us it’s about developing honest relationships, and we hold ourselves to that standard.”

Hello all... my name is Angela and I'd like to take the time to rave about my a-mazing new countertops! When it came time to give our kitchen a face-lift, we felt the countertops were a great place to start. At first I thought nothing would look better than granite - but I was wrong. After seeing the cement samples Joe was quick to supply my husband and I with, we were more than intrigued. Besides saving us loads of money, our countertops looked SO unique with it's terracotta variations (in which NO ONE can guess that's it's cement!) and has been such a joy to prepare meals on without ever looking dull or worn. I can't stress enough how much I LOVE my intriguing new counters... even my best friend likes them better than her very expensive granite-tops!!! THANK YOU GUYS!!!
